Stop organization for Monitoring and Development held its annual conference on July 31 at the Dedeman Hotel in Erbil with the presence of members of the Integrity Committee in Parliament, the Council of Ministers’ Representatives, the Ministries, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, lawyers and civil society organizations.
In the conference which was attended by more than 60 people, Stop organization presented a report on reforms and transparency under the name of (Roadmap for Reform and Confrontation Corruption), requesting the implementation of the law on Access to Information in reality as well as the amendment of the Public Prosecutor law, including several steps regarding reforms that were presented.
Ari Abdulla executive director of Stop in a speech announced that next year we will monitor reform plans based on the reports we present to the Council of Ministers and the ministries. Representative from Public Prosecutor’s Office Dr. Mehmed Rekani and Judge of the Integrity Commission, Mrs. Shiren Amin Head of the Integrity Committee in Parliament, Dr. Mehmed Shukr Member of Writing Government Work Plan, and president of the Investment Commission each presented their topic with discussion from delegates.
The event concluded with a panel that discussed the issues between the participants in the conference.
